Tested these games with FreeDOS 1.3 RC4 on VirtualBox, on Fedora Linux. Tested with boot option 1 "JEMMEX, no EMS (most UMBs), max RAM free" but I don't think it matters. Sharing my results:

The text fading in/out is very slow (same as QEMU) but then my turn immediately ends without anything happening. Another slow text fade in/out, and my next turn immediately ends without anything happening. And again for my third turn. I pressed Esc during the fade in/out text, so I think that exited the game for me. When I died and lost the game, the game just sat there at "Game Over." Didn't matter what keys I pressed. Rebooted, played it again. Same graphics weirdness, played and lost the game .. this time, it hung on the "Quit? Yes/No" screen. > > Bolitare: > > 24 BIT GRAPHICS INITIALIZED SUCCESSFULLY > > MOUSE DETECTED > > Page Fault cr2=0058dbca in RMCB at eip=aeeac; flags=8c2 > > [Hang there] > > > > Second try: > > ... > > MOUSE DETECTED > > Page fault cr2=0058dbca in RMCB at eip=a1eac; flags=3246 > > [registers] > > [return to command.com correctly] > > I get a similar crash. > Bolitaire runs fine on VirtualBox. I'm just not a fan of Freecell. :-) But when I exited, the system froze. I had to reset the virtual machine. > > Boom: > > Show some initialization, make some bad sound... > > [clear screen] > > Illegal instruction > > [return to command.com correctly] > > I didn't try this one. Plays fine on VirtualBox. But it seems very laggy, or maybe that's the game. Either way, the game is not very fun for me. :-( > > flpybird: black screen, [killed the machine to quit] > > > > Same problem here. > Plays fine on VirtualBox.
