After thinking a little bit more about it I no longer consider it necessary to refuse handling of the whole disk, because the errors are not triggered on primary partitions. But I would put the logical partitions inside an inappropriately aligned extended partition and the extended itself in a „read only“ mode to prevent messing up the layout. At least until someone comes up with a better solution...
