I can confirm freecom 0.85a is not affected, while 0.86 is. So I am thinking about git bisecting FreeCom between 0.85a and 0.86 to find the offending commit. Although I never compiled FreeCOM yet, it seems to depends on Nasm and a C Compiler (Watcom, Borland C++ or DJGPP-16).
