It is a flame, as you well know, but it seems you have become immune to any
sense of hesitation in reposting inflammatory screeds.
I could continue with my own rebuttal of your QHIMEM reposts -- avoiding
the gratuitous insults and irrelevant digressions -- but what's the
point? Early on, the original QHIMEM rationale post makes a point of how
great the HIMEM clone product is for reducing handle overhead via the
mechanism of breaking the existing MS XMS/HIMEM standard of a "miserable"
ten bytes per XMS handle as publicly documented in Ralf Brown's
List. This, as if simple information compression were a programming feat
of skill, instead of a minor coding task that was deliberately selected
against to ensure MS compatibility. Sorry to say, but a read of the Ellis
manifestos makes it quickly clear that no productive communication on
memory management is going to come out of an ongoing dialog with that
programmer. Ego, indeed.
I see no further reason to pay additional attention to Mr. Ellis's
extremely silly public posts on the user list. Nor to yours, providing
they do not conflict with the real FreeDOS work that I and many others do.
