Thanks for replying so quickly and for your additional effort by
installing Paradox 4.5 yourself. The error message I got is similar to
what you have cited.
I do not expect nor do I wish someone to waist her/his time with this
subject, however. I was just curious if someone had success already.
From my side I'd prefer this to be closed.

I had to download a copy of Paradox 4.5 for DOS and install it, just
to see what you are referring to. If I launch Paradox (using FreeDOS
monthly T2511 on QEMU, 16MB memory) I get this error message:
Unexpected condition: GP 0000 AT PARADOX:28:1323 -- Leaving Paradox
However, I'm not sure what is causing this. I didn't look into it
further because (a) I do not use Paradox so I don't know how to debug
it, and (b) there's a note on WinWorldPC [where I downloaded my copy]
that "Paradox 4.5 for DOS is asking for a third disk, but there are
only two in the archive" so this seems like it's incomplete anyway.
