Hello Team,

In the current setting of the project I can develop new features on my
own branch, but I can not do some other important things:

* I am not allowed to publish the newly developed features in the source
forge file download section and react to the user wishes,

* I am not allowed to change the freemind architecture which I would
really like to do,

* I am not allowed to hire new developers and build a regularly
communicating team for developing of the new versions, and consequently
I have to do everything solo,

* I am not allowed to change the structure and content of the freemind
web site.

Because of these lacks of authority both the amount of my own time spent
on the freemind development and the speed of the new developments are
regrettably and significantly reduced.

I have no intention to ask the current project manager to change those
things in freemind. And I would like to remain the freemind developer
despite the described situation. As a freemind developer I would
concentrate on the bug issues the project management finds relevant. I
think that it is better for the freemind project if I stay here because
of the huge amount of my previous contributions.

At the same time I would like to start my own project under some other
name, where I could concentrate on the issues described above. If I
remain the freemind developer as well, there is an option of merging the
both projects in the future. But now I would like to establish a project
allowing me to use the source forge infrastructure for implementing some
of my own ideas and presenting them to the broad public. For sure,
everybody contributing to freemind is very welcome to take part in the
second project too.

Before the decision about the start of the second project is taken, I
would like to get your feedback.

Dimitry
