thank you so much for your understanding. I am quite happy, I like the 
new setting very much. There are still a couple of details to be 
clarified, but I hope that I understand you well and everything will be 
all right.

The new project is registered as "freeplane". It still does not have any 
content.

My first question is about its program name, logo and splash screen: I 
can use those from the freemind and just change the version label to 
something like e.g. "freeplane version" or completely replace them by 
another ones. What solution is better?

May I also sometimes post to the freemind's open discussion forum? I 
would like to announce the project start and new versions there too.

Nevertheless I would like to remain an active developer of the freemind 
team and support it providing bug fixing, profiling and other help. How
