Dear Dan,

creating of the fork is not a goal, but only one of the many ways to
solve the problems described in the first mail:

>> In the current setting of the project I can develop new features on my
>> own branch, but I can not do some other important things:
>>
>> * I am not allowed to publish the newly developed features in the source
>> forge file download section and react to the user wishes,
>>
>> * I am not allowed to change the freemind architecture which I would
>> really like to do,
>>
>> * I am not allowed to hire new developers and build a regularly
>> communicating team for developing of the new versions, and consequently

I am substantially open to other possible solutions. You and Chris have
mentioned that I am free to develop and to contribute to the FreeMind.
Now I need a possibility to share both the results and the efforts of
the contributions with other people. It would be great if I could do it
inside the FreeMind project. And now only you and Chris can decide about
it.

Best regards, Dimitry
