We're using FreeRADIUS in production for about a year at Cegetel, a major telecom operator in France. An there are many reasons you should choose FreeRADIUS, too. 1. It has more features than other free software servers. (see the homepage www.freeradius.org) 2. It has the best performance. Examples with our own configuration (as you can see, we didn't spend a lot of money with the hardware) - 395 auth/s on a Cobalt XTR 1Ghz/512Mb/ide/intelpro100 - 695 auth/s on a Gigabyte SR102 bi PIII 1.2Gz/1gb ram/scsi/intelpro100 3. It has an active community. The maintainers of the project provide assistance on the mailing list, and fix quickly the problems. We're really thankful to Alan DeKok and Paul Hampson for the advices they're giving to us. 4. The source is freely available, and you can extend it to fit specific needs. (a few features in FreeRADIUS was submitted by Cegetel's developpers) -- Nicolas Baradakis and Thomas Marchesseau for the Sitadelle team - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe?
