Ok. Even with extensions I couldn't reproduce it with linux in the VM, but I could reproduce it with XP with Guest Additions in the VM. The real problem is that VirtualBox AFAICS sends bogus data. I have reported that in http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/8053 . Garbage in, garbage out. There is no good way to handle garbage. 0.8.2 won't notice the problem and will unknowingly ignore [what seems to be] extra data from the server. That could have been freerdp's fault and it could have caused problems later. Debugging such later problems without knowing the real problem would have been tough. In master the problem is detected and xfreerdp stops immediately so the miscommunication won't cause bigger problems and we can get it fixed properly.
