Good Afternoon,
As a new user to freerdp I wanted to firstly send my thanks to those
contributing to the breath of fresh air the client offers to those of us using
rdesktop.
I've recently begun looking at freerdp as a client is looking at moving to
2008R2 SP1 servers and we've hit a couple of issues with our Ubuntu LTSP
machines:
* Using the 'latest' release of rdesktop 1.6.0 the cursor is black.
* Knowing the above we compiled the latest svn of rdesktop which fixed the
cursor, improved video performance but broke the sound functionality despite
there being a patch committed to fix this.
* I then stumbled across FreeRDP grabbing 0.8.2 and compiling it up to find
that it fared best in having a correct cursor and sound working for a second
before no more sound.
I'm using the syntax -
xfreerdp -k en-gb -a 24 --plugin rdpsnd -f -u '' server1
It plays the first second of the windows logon sound and then stops and if I
try and play a sound in Control Panel it plays the first second and stops, try
again and it will not play anymore sounds in the session.
Has anyone seen this behaviour?
Very grateful for your assistance.
Regards,
Kim
