I've heard from a lot of people who would rather see us move to GIT, I 
guess because it inter-operates better with modern tools. I don't really 
have an opinion, I am still using the make and shell paradigm I learned 
in 1981, and SVN is trouble-free for me.

I had to read the fine print, but it appears to be BSD licensed. 
However, I did not verify that all of the other components that are used 
with it come with acceptable licensing.

David already has hosted GDB working. Remember, we're old command-line 
guys :-) Given the space limitations, it might be a better choice to 
leave more room for that GMSK and C4FM stuff you're working on.
