OK freedv-dev is building now.
I'm trying to get down to one README.txt with quickstart examples for
the most common configurations for each operating system:

1/ Stephen Hurd, could you pls provide some text for the FreeBSD
section?
2/ OSX maintainer(s) could you pls provide some text for the OSX
section?
I'm assuming that (1) & (2) build with cmake, but if it doesn't pls
provide alternative Makefiles, or links if teh build info is elsewhere.
