The radio interface is between the computer and the IC-756.  It is a USB
audio interface and a USB serial adapter to CV-I with the RTS and DTR
lines brought out.  It's a microHAM "USB Interface III", the next level
above a Signalink.

On Windows they have a nice custom driver that lets you set up multiple
virtual serial ports and steer the control lines however you want but
under Linux you just get the default behavior which is a single port.
It's an FTDI chip inside (behind hub) and runs with the standard FTDI driver.
