Another related item. The dialog box has checkboxs for "DTR=+V" and "RTS=+V". These can both be toggled whether "Use DTR" or "Use RTS" is selected. The two "Use" boxes are mutually exclusive, checking one unchecks the other.
But the code only sets the line being used. If only one line is going to be used, then the voltage checkbox for the other line should be gray'd out when not enabled. I would prefer to set the "inactive" level of both lines. This is how I have seen other programs handle these lines.
