There are two people on the Turbine mailing list (here at Clear Ink) that are
interested in doing a Java version of Freetrade; however, they are very much
interested in using a more object oriented approach. Currently, there are
people on the Turbine list doing an object persistance layer for Turbine, so
indeed, programming a Java version of Freetrade looks to be quite different
than programming a PHP version. Anyone interested in working on the Java
version of Freetrade should probably start by joining the turbine mailing list
