I am having a similar problem with php3. However, the problem is not
restricted to IE. And, it is a sporadic problem with all https:// requests
(including the login form). I created a couple of test pages (no ft code)
and was able to duplicate the problem when I requested them with https://.
It is possible to go through a complete order process without error. Then
(using the same user name/item) it seems to hit a brick wall. Sometimes a
simple refresh will get you "back on track" and other times, refresh will
not help. The fact that refresh will sometimes work seems to indicate that
the problem is not code related. It seems to me it must be some problem
with the ssl, but I don't know enough about how that part of the server
works to have any real ideas.
Any ideas on what I can check would be very helpful.

Subject: [FreeTrade] SSL problem
Using freetrade latest version on a site
(www.plusfore-golfshop.com), on a php4 (v4.0.3pl1)
environment. Using the IE5 and IE5.5 browser in SSL
mode, users will consistently (on dial-up connections)
get a browser error "fail to display page" when going
from the credit card entry (billing) page to the order
confirm page. This is causing the client a lot of
grief. Please help with ideas. We don't want to turn
off the SSL if we don't have to. By the way this is on
a virtual server using a shared SSL server. The
hosting provider says that there are no log messages
being generated when the failure to display page
occurs. The processing goes fine on Netscape and on IE
when you are on a lan connection.
