Sounds good to me. We have a similar thing in our cable box.
But I would probably improve it somewhat...

a) Click on a show, see alternates
b) Click on "search" get a list of letters and then a list of shows by
letter.

Showing the alternates for the currently selected show is something I
think makes a lot of sense, especially if we can figure out if they're
repeats by seeing if the sub-titles match.
