Hi all,

vbi2srt-0.1.7 the program that uses an IVTV card to record a TV program and extract the subtitles is now here. The only real change from version 0.1.6 is that the default teletext subtitle page number is now none, which means don't extract subtitles. I've been using vbi2srt-0.1.7 very successfully for the last week recording all sorts of stuff on channels with and without VPS data.

vbishow-0.1.8 the program that displays vbi data (teletext, vps and wss) from an IVTV card is also released. This version works with both Unicode and non-Unicode terminals, two fonts are included in tar file can be loaded into the X-server and the font name can passed on the command line or the xterm can be set to use the font with xtermcontrol --font="...". Because of the limited number of characters available only English, German and Czech work properly on non-Unicode xterms.

The home page http://www.linuxowl.com/ has more information and some pictures of these application.

Cheers
Duncan
