Well yes, fair enough, -fs is a no-op since we're using our own window.
So nevermind, we'd need to use dsize with the actual resolution.

Unfortunately I just discovered that xine's expand filter doesn't
support adding the bars to the sides (only the top), and while mplayer's
expand will add the bars to the sides, they're grey.  So we have some
hacking to do in this area.
