either way it works great for freevo except for the audio being ac97 and
locked at 48000 only for playback and recording, is pretty cheap and fit's
the bill.

Beware.  There is no such thing as a Duron XP, this is one of ECS's 
dirty tricks.  I am pretty sure that all this is is an overclocked Duron 
MP 1300.  I bought a k7sem and did some research beforehand because a 
previous version was advertised as a Duron XP 1200+ or something and it 
was simply a Duron 900 overclocked.
