I use freevo 2.0 with framebuffer and a gentoo 2.6 kernel. Works
like a champ! However, it took me awhile to get it working since I
ain't a framebuffer master.
Frankly, I don't remember where I dug up the information concerning
getting the g400 framebuffer to work with the 2.6 kernel, but I am
sure I found it with lots of diligent google searches.
I apologize that I cannot be of more help at the moment, but I can
affirm that it works.
