Well a quick trial shows that the VS is actually being restarted, it's just
the web page that's hanging.
I put a file in /tmp (that's cleared upon VS restarted), clicked Reboot VS
from the web page and the file was killed (as was the terminal I was in on
the VS.)
Hmmm...the plot thickens!
