The error "error: -ERR Virtual server does not exist" refers to the
"localhost" part in the command you are typing. The newer versions of
freeVSD treat the host server (i.e. localhost) as a Virtual server.
When installing freeVSD, it creates a symbolic link in "/home/vsd/vs/"
(its name is the output returned by the 'hostname' command) to /
In other words, the error isnt related to the lack of a domain name but
to the 'localhost' part. Replace this with whatever output you get
from the 'hostname' command (and read my FAQ www.fubra.com/vsdfaq on the
question titled "When doing vsdadm vs_create localhost ... I get -ERR
Virtual Server does not exist!")

I have a desktop linux installation, that has the IP addresses
192.168.0.100
and 192.168.0.101
assigned to it, and I can ping them from the network.
I want to create a freevsd server that I can connect to and test. Would

need a local DNS server?
ANy help would be appreciated.
