Hi, I think this is a great idea. I've only just started looking at FreeVSD, so I don't know the ins and outs yet, but I'd like to lend a hand. I'd be glad to write docs and do testing.

FreeVSD will slowly die or at least updates/new features will come at much lower rate and much later than in provsd. They're not well funded and they need cash (and quick I would add). They may not be around next year. I have branched the code from FreeVSD 1.4.10 and made some patches to sendmail, apache, postgres, mysql so that they can be installed on the skel. I'm suggesdting that we create a new project that goes in parallel with FreeVSD. If idaya and us keep collaboration I would be more than happy. If not, we can move on our way. So let me introduce the new baby: Ladies and Gentleman, I'm proud to present you O p e n V D S which stands for Open Virtual Dedicated Server The idea is to enhance the original Free Virtual Server Daemon concept of FreeVSD to make it an open-source dedicated platform for web hosting companies (mine included ;-) So, developers.... jump aboard. I'm in the process of registering the project with SourceForge and will be uploading the CVS tree + my own packages briefly. They're all compiled for RedHat7.2 ;-) BUT: I need help. I need everybody to contribute the way they can (documentation/patches/testers/etc etc).
