 You partly answer the question yourself Martian. Overcoming the desire to
explore is part of the search. Its a paradox searching for that which you
already have, but thats the way it is. The Zen monks training is his search.
Yes and only IF we could see our perfection.

I tend to take the view-point of Gurdjieff on this one. We are for the large
part sound asleep machnical robots just living out our conditioning. However
we have a posibility through various techniques, hard work and dedication to
become more than this. The state of realising our perfection and living in
total acceptance in the here and now is a potential, not where we are now -
hence the search. However the journey is all part of the beauty of it. Life
gets better as you move in this direction.
