My point is that adding a virtual smiley, patting someone on that back, etc. can be forms of manipulation. People that are prone to feeling tone and delivery rather before deconstructing content are vulnerable to that kind of manipulation. Any intent can be stated for some something in a situation when someone gets upset. There’s plenty of reason to be doubtful of such claims.
