I regularly set up google groups for teaching purposes, and my students typically don't use gmail addresses. I normally just add them by hand (a list of email addresses), and never heard any complaints about it. And the group then basically functions as a mailing list and as a forum (using Google's web interface, which is not too nice, but ok...). Perhaps if you have trouble adding your email address you should email it to Waldek, so that he can add it by hand. (After that you'd get an invitation to confirm, and start receiving messages per email (if you need)) > OTOH Google "personalizes" what users see, so maybe they hide > things that use do not use (except for things that they want to > push on you). > > Technically fricas-devel is "Google group", quite different beast > than Usent groups (trough Google pretends that Usent groups > are Google groups).
