In the old (I mean REALLY old :) days, the ultimate terminal program was kermit. It had all the features you desire, and many more. The unix version is c-kermit: http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/ck80.html

I have never used kermit on a unix platform, but I never used anything else on a DOS machine. I haven't used kermit in many years, so I don't know what shape it's in today, but I have never known a better software package.
