FYI, there are direct drivers to Oracle in CF that are much faster than the ODBC
drivers.
While I don't recommend running CF on Solaris, I don't see any reason for not running
Oracle itself on Solaris or Unix box. Does anybody else have comments on this
arrangement?
In fact, that may be a great way to go if you already have IT managers working with
Oracle on Unix (Web = NT/IIS, DB = Oracle/Unix)
