Not to sidetrack the useless conversation of made up acronyms...
Do you think we could make a "fusebox_offtopic" list?
I heard that Microsoft's implementation of XML doesn't fit what is the
currently agreed upon standard. One of the biggest problems I've heard of is
that they index starting on 0 instead of 1. Is this the case with MSXML? Any
other differences from standards? Unfortunately, this has to be asked given
that we are dealing with Microsoft :|

Noam,
You need to look into MSXML. The SDK can be found at:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/psdk/xmlsdk/xmls6g53.htm
MSXML will handle all your schema, XML, XSL needs and can be accessed with
CF via CFOBJECT.
For an example you can check out one of our tags (XMLParse) at
http://www.siteobjects.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=showproducts
XMLParse is a free open-source custom tag that uses MSXML to transform any
XML document into a complex CF Structure. Feel free to hack it up/gut
it/ask questions about it. Its good stuff. We will also be releasing our
complete XML tag in a couple weeks (SOXML) that will perform a complete set
of processing actions to provide an easy to use interface for CF and XML.
More information is on our site.
Happy Coding,
Brett Suwyn

|
| Somewhat off topic question:
| We're delving into XML and XSL and need:
| A good editor for XML schemas, XML files, and XSL for presentation on IE 5
| A CFX or COM object to parse XML to be used with CF to
| read/write/verify XML
| data.
|
| Has anyone used the MS ActiveX with CF on IIS?
|
| Please reply off list to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

| Thanks,
| Noam
