OK try this keystroke for the accent over he cap E. Option + ' + E
This should give the Cap e with accent over it. Pobably would need to do this into your data file before composing. I do not know if there is a rule for this. Used to work in OS 9 - I just tried it and seems that extra keystrokes have been added in Indesign CS3... So the other option would be to use the Glyphs in the Adobe Products and copy and paste that into your data file.
