For one specific example, I have 5086 records so I divide by 8 and round up to 636 for my stack count in the first column, set my vertical to 4 in the second column, and my horizontal to 2 in the third column. The image depicts correctly that record 1, 637, 1273 etc will be printed on the first sheet. At composition, the stack setting is disregarded and only the vert and horiz are used.
