"quite impressive records" doing what?  The web site doesn't say.

It is now widely recognized that the GDP is little more than a
measure of the conversion of natural capital into garbage.

Are New Zealand and Australia directing their economies to
optimize explicit measures of human welfare?  If so, what are
the measures?

If not, what's your point?
