Chris, you've once again totally avoided all of the ever-so-relevant questions I asked of you. These questions have been repeated in practically every post for the purpose of this conversation. But you have consistently been unable to offer your superior prohibition plan, or intelligent response to the comments I made around the issue of decriminalization of soft drugs. Your pat response is to accuse me of being a druggy, which holds no weight whatsoever, but you think will discredit me. Especially with this last series of postings, I cannot believe you are so unprepared, irrational and incompetent around the topic of drugs particularly pertaining to the root cause of addiction. I have patiently explained my p.o.v.'s and the reasons for my line of questioning. It's quite the reversal you're trying to construct with respect to who insults whom, when I have made note to you in practically every posting you've made to me that you are presumptuous and judge me with an unceasing ! all-or-none personality.
Now you are saying that because I consider you to be in trouble, that I should be feeding you what you think you want to hear to make you feel good and soothe a faulty ego. Are we in a professional relationship that I should feel obliged to handle you with kid gloves? I thought we were just co-list members. But on that point--You believe that a therapist is supposed to take insults and hostility that you hurl ad infinitum, and then provide you with a quick fix or else you'll get angrier--a poor example of what helping people is all about. Sufferance of your hostility as another list member has made an interesting study, been extremely revealing of the root cause for the fascist beliefs you hold for saving the world. But, therapists are not punching bags that will miraculously determine from vicious diatribes exactly how they may help you to help yourself. First, a desire to end pain is crucial, or else it's pointless. The basic idea behind therapy is to help patients to aban! don fixed delusional systems, and remove blocks to truth. This always involves taking a look at relationships, and the fears around them. Typically, patients seeks healing while trying to keep their delusional system intact--the very thing from which he/she is suffering and gives rise to self-attack thoughts or behaviour. Forgiveness of self is essential, then forgiveness of others and the therapist. Psychotherapy aims to restore your awareness of the ability to arrive at your own decisions, and eventually to understand the actual source of projections that brought you to that place of pain in the first place. As to the goading below, its sole intent to discredit any response given, I shall repeat that I have helped hundreds of people. Because they were all willing to look at things differently, no one ever exhibited hostility or fear of or toward me, and the fact that in little time they were able to look at the world less fearfully most certainly precluded any potential suicides or escalated addictions. I'm very proud of my work, but again I ask, what is it that you are doing to save addicts in the real world? I couldn't help but notice that in asking this in my last post, you had no answer. And also in another post way way back on another hostile exchange, when many others on this list told you they were for decriminalization of drugs. You accused everyone at that time of being a druggy too, (and then continued your association with the list.) So because you are exhibiting even more hostility now, I'd suggest you channel your energy creatively with good speed before you succumb! to devil's advocate being the dominant aspect of your personality. BTW--citing mercury poisoning as the excuse for your anger problem is a manipulative plea for sympathy to excuse you from your responsibility of getting over your hostility and self-hatred, thereby enabling you to become civil. Many people suffer from mercury poisoning without forgetting the golden rule.
