Good stuff. I was just thinking whether it would be any use to say anything about this. I don't look at video links. I don't have time to sit and wait for two paragraphs of words to be delivered in 6 minutes, or whatever. Plus I'm usually reading somewhere where sound would disturb the natives. So I let all the video links accumulate, and then slog through them at some much later date when I have time off at home, sometimes several weeks later.
Almost all the content is stuff which could have been absorbed quickly and painlessly as text. And if the ratio of video links to text content increases much more, I won't have time to do that anymore, so I was debating whether there would be any point in announcing that I simply will let the videos slide. -Pete On Mon, 6 Dec 2010, Mike Spencer wrote: > > D&N> Just thought this video might be.... > D&N> http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/7451115/ > > RS> The video clip link is.... > RS> > http://my.firedoglake.com/michaelwhitney/2010/12/03/stunning-video-of-unemployed-workers-meet-obamas-human-shields/ > > NMcL> This reminded me of another good video on.... > NMcL> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDZFcDG > > Dang, I can't find my copy of Postman's _Amusing Ourselves to Death_, > so I can't offer any pungently apropos quotes. > > But when you recommend a video, could we have a text summary, precis > or the like, please?
