Actually, it needs another world war so that everyone can really understand the meanings of the words they speak. I've been reading a novel about the Cherokee Nation around the the time of the Civil War. It seems incredibly prescient. When brother fought brother because they couldn't decide whether to rent or own people. We had a dandy villain for WWII and we were the villains for the 19th century homesteaders now who is next for the survivors? There is always a sacrifice, a goat to give strength to the sheep and to blame when a sacrifice is needed. Too bad the medicine people can't just walk around in tails and a top hat naked from the waist down. These days no one would understand the metaphor. We are beyond the reach of theater.
