The experts are probably right in saying that Saddam Hussein is not developing nuclear weapons because this would require industrial-type installations which would be hard to disguise from satellite surveillance. The slightest hint of any of these would have brought Israeli bombers screaming in already. After all, they put paid to Iraq's first and only nuclear reactor almost before the concrete had set. But it's highly likely that Iraq has some biological and chemical weapon research going on -- along with at least 20 or 30 other countries around the world. After all, such research is relatively cheap -- a very big theoretical bang for your buck. So, if UN inspectors went in with full powers of inspection then they'd undoubtedly find enough evidence to convince the world that Saddam Hussein was actually plotting something.
