Anyway, I was watching Antonioni's film "L'Avventura"
again, and, at one point, Monica Vitti enters an art
gallery where an opening is going on.

She overhears one of the visitors comment to another,
about a certain painting in the exhibit:

"Eh, this one has to starve for a while yet."

"And history continues." (--Elsa Morante, _History: A novel_) ....
