Anyway, all I really want is to be able to take my current .fvwmrc

that I have been getting, up until now, with fvwm1. But when I just
try to use my existing .fvwmrc file with fvwm2, all sort of things
seems to break. I've started to try to work my way through the new
man page for the new fvwm2, but it is very slow going for me, because
I dopn't even understand most of the terminology.
What I'd do (since I'm by nature lazy, and as you said the man page is
huge):
Start with an empty config file.
Add a chunk (a function definition or two, a few "style" statements, etc),
restart fvwm and see if it does what you think it should.
If not, THEN find the relevant section in the man page.
This'll end up being redundant most likely (as some things you specify in
fvwm1 are default in fvwm2), but it's probably easier than making a new one
from scratch.
