Speaking of BeOS: BeOS has/had tabbed window title bars (= not the whole width of the window), just like twm. Given the history of fvwm, that feature must have been deliberately removed from the code base, since I looked at the code and couldn't find a trace of it. I sort of tried to add it back myself, but to be honest I got bogged down in the to me unfamiliar code.
