Honestly, I don't follow. I have my windows key generate Meta [*] and
find it slightly disturbing that I use M for Alt. How do I refer to
my Meta key? Not that I really want to, I use it extensively in
Emacs.

[*] I have, elsewhere, a PlayStation 2 keyboard, which has meta keys
as well, but they send the windows key key-code. At least I believe
they are Meta, they have a diamond [ <> ] symbol on on them (*not* the
two <, > symbols I use in ascii art) and located where the windows key
is on PC keyboards. I'll add that these keyboards never went on the
common market.
