Jim,

I had a similar thing happen installing CP 4.0 on NT 4.0. My external IP
address changed (and a couple of other catastrophic things happened). After
several days on the phone with Check Point and having my support case
escalated to their support group in Israel, I decided to take the 7-hour
drive to my branch office to reinstall the firewall (after all, that office
happened to be at the beach anyway). I removed the firewall software,
reinstalled the appropriate NT service pack, then reinstalled the firewall
and its appropriate service pack. It worked great.

Hopefully your problem will be easier to fix. Before I decided on a
reinstall, I tried all kinds of stuff with 'putkey' commands, etc. Search
the archives (http://www.shmoo.com/mail/fw1/) and Phoneboy
(http://www.phoneboy.com/fw1) for help with 'putkey' if you haven't tried
this yet.

Good luck!
