IMHO, the only real reason to go with Dapper is the 5-year support cycle on servers that need to have 99.999% uptime, which keeps you from needing to reinstall them every 18 months like you would using the non-LTS releases. Edgy is more stable than Dapper...not to mention, everything Just Works better! Oh, wait, are my Ubuntu colors showing??? :-) Yeah, I think people should convert to Ubuntu, but I'm much more concerned with the people who're considering dropping the money on Vista than people who're using other flavors of Linux already...however, if Ubuntu works better for you...;-) BTW, it is final.
