Actually the install was completely painless. so far everything has
worked with out any problems, granted I don't have the newest machine.
P4 2ghz I think.

I've been working my way through some tutorials on making gnome look
like OSX. I know that there are a lot of people against that (that's why
I haven't aske for any help getting a dock going) But I basically wanted
to do it to prove to all my friends who are saying they want to go to a
mac, that Linux is a viable option for someone who wants a stable OS
with an attractive GUI. And if you're going to have to learn a new OS,
why not learn one that doesn't require you to drop $2G on new hardware.

Anyway I'm really enjoying my Ubuntu Linux experience. The only thing
I'm wondering about is I'm really going to miss Illustrator and
Photoshop. I've read some tut's on getting them to work with wine. Any
thoughts about wine (the software that is)?
