By the way, Vern didn't tell me exactly when you'll be in Venezuela - what
dates are you planning to be gone?

I was pretty deeply used to Photoshop, and I've started transitioning into
GIMP using GIMPshop, which rearranges the menus and renames stuff to make it

It's definitely still not Photoshop, and I've still had to get used to a
lot of things, but I've yet to find something that I can't do in the GIMP
that I can in Photoshop.

I would suggest that learning the GIMP is a good step towards freedom, and
I would concede that if you've absolutely got to get the work done you will
be able to do it faster in the environment you're used to.

I would certainly choose taking the time to learn GIMP over paying for a
Photoshop license anyday, but then I don't do that kind of work for a living
and I don't have deadlines to meet on it.

Hope you're all doing well!

There are people out there that would say, GIMP GIMP GIMP... but if
you're used to photoshop, the GIMP just isn't the same.
