The HP offering STARTS almost twice as high as the EeePC, so isn't it 
kind of aiming at a different market? The HP model looks more like a 
full laptop crammed into a small case than a cheap, light laptop.

As the battery life isn't much better on the HP ones, I'm not 
particularly tempted at this time...

As there is absolutely no detail except "they'll probably use an Intel 
processor" for the Dell one, I've got no real comment. Except Dell is 
likely to pre-load theirs with Ubuntu.

P.S. I think Asus must be patting themselves on the back for pioneering 
this market, but they've got a bumpy ride ahead with the new players in 
this space.
