But I would think that only a $50 difference for double the storage
would make the 2 Gb model a bad buy except for cases that were VERY
budget constrained... I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. And
the eee goes up to an 8Gb model, so they clearly have higher goals as well.

No thorough tests of battery life yet - one reviewer reports just under
3.5 hours using the 6 cell battery on a machine set to "High
Performance" with wifi on *and* a conventional hard drive. That ought to
translate to well over 4 hours with a solid state drive and conservative
power consumption... key word being "ought".
