There is also another slight difference: the label, which is placed on
the monitor frame. A Lombard will have "Macintosh PowerBook G3"
written in it, whilst a Pismo will have simply "PowerBook". If you
don't have access to the back ports (for instance, when you can't
physically "see" the machine before you buy it, you only have a couple
of photos), you can try looking at the display frame.

Earlier PowerBook G3's were even more different: they did not have
that white apple on top of the screen, instead they featured a
"PowerPC™" logo. And I can't recall what they said in the name bezel,
but it was different from the Lombard...
