Well, I've never been able to restart it without using the reset
button and it comes up with a cache error message during startup -
that's been an issue from when I first got it and there've been a few
other things like that that made it interesting but still usable..

But now if I push the on button it can take a long time to start up -
ie I push the button, go away and do something else and after a while
the start up sounds will chime (anything up to 10 mins after turning
it on). Sometimes it doesn't start up at all. And when it does,
programs react very slowly eg a double click will open a program but
it will open with the opening animation slowed right down.

I've replaced the pram battery since I got the machine about 2 years
ago, but haven't replaced the main laptop battery.
